Located in Madrid, the Laboratorio de Genética Clínica S.L. or LabGenetics is a private biotechnology center and within the Human Health sector it specializes in human genetic analyses applied to Forensic Genetics and Genetic Diagnostic of hereditary diseases.

In Forensic Genetics field, LabGenetics arises as a response to a need: to carry out accurate, highly decisive analyses within a minimum response period (3 working days). In other words, analyses of unsurpassable quality, that satisfy a biological paternity test demand, biological kinship, genetic identification from any kind of biological trace (cigarette butts, chewing gum, envelopes, hairs, toothbrushes, etc.), and biological fluids detection (semen, saliva and blood) from any kind of stain. Furthermore, all the reports sent out by LabGenetics have judicial validity and can be used in a Court of Justice, in either civil or penal proceedings.

A bit about Genetical Diagnosis: LabGenetics is specialized in prenatal genetic analyses aimed at finding out, during the pregnancy, any congenital defect or anomaly in the development that could be present itself when the child is born. In this field, LabGenetics offers a quick detection (within 24 hours) of aneuploidies, using the QF-PCR technique, in which 13, 18, 21, X and Y chromosomes, that involve a 70 to 80% of chromosomal aberration that are the result of congenital defects.

Likewise, LabGenetics uses the most advanced techniques to identify chromosomal alterations in the DNA sequence related to the appearance of hereditary disease with the highest repercussion in Europe (cystic fibrosis, Hemochromatosis, Fragile X, thrombophilia, breast cancer, etc).

To offer the maximum quality in all of its analyses, LabGenetics has a professional multidisciplinary team (doctors and biologists) with wide experience guaranteed in Forensic and Clinical Genetics. We also own a laboratory equipped with the most advanced technology in Molecular Biology area.
